Security checks
The goal is not to turn the agent into a complete MDM, but to demonstrate the basic posture that matters for security and audit.
Check if FileVault, BitLocker or LUKS is active on the supported device.
Checks the antivirus protection available on the system and signals the posture that requires attention.
Follow the minimum password policy relevant to the device security control.
Check the device’s auto-lock to reduce exposure to unattended sessions.
Device lifecycle
The user installsZebraByteDevice Agent and associates the device with the authorized organization.
→The agent runs local checks and only reports the state required for security/compliance posture.
→Administrators can see which devices are healthy and which controls need fix.
→For a failed check, the user receives the right action: fix, system setting, or fix guide.
→After the change, the posture is checked again and may become evidence for the relevant control.
↻Privacy boundary
Device Agent is designed for security posture checks. It does not need to collect the contents of documents, browsing history or personal data unrelated to these checks.
Device Agent connects endpoint status with people, controls and evidence inZebraByte.
