Cloud & Architecture Overview

Understand cloud responsibilities, security limits, and Docker/Kubernetes deployment lines retained for migration and reference architecture.

ZebraByte is delivered as managed Cloud SaaS platformZebraByte operates application infrastructure, updates, platform security, backups and service monitoring; customers and professional advisors operate compliance data and workflows according to their role.

The documentation also retains previous implementation materials for Docker Compose and Kubernetes. This material remains useful for architecture review and migration analysis, but is not a ZebraByte-accepted installation path.

ZebraByte Cloud responsibility boundary

Area ZebraByte Customer / adviser
Application infrastructure Operated by ZebraByte No platform infrastructure to operate
Platform updates It was launched and applied deZebraByte Review functional changes relevant to workflows
Platform security patches Monitored and implemented by ZebraByte Security of connected systems and user access
Backups and recovery Management at the platform level Maintain source-system data and organizational recovery obligations
Platform monitoring Gestionat deZebraByte Monitoring the organization’s tasks and compliance findings
User access Platform mechanisms provided by ZebraByte Configuration of members, roles, SSO/SCIM and administrative access
Integrations Platform integration layer maintained by ZebraByte Decide which systems to connect and authorize credentials
Compliance content Platform stores and organizes it The client/advisor holds the correctness, approvals and business decisions

For the service model itself, see ZebraByte Cloud.

The infrastructure model remains Cloud SaaS. What is changing is the operating model around compliance work:

  • Self-service: The client’s team operates the program.
  • Professional/adviser: an external specialist runs the program for one or more client organizations through ZebraByteCloud.
  • Managed compliance: ZebraByte specialists take on a greater part of the controls, evidence, policies, corrective work and audit preparation.

See Choose an Operating Model for a detailed comparison.

ZebraBytenu exposes the product as open-source or does not require customers to maintain the application stack.

  • understand the services and security limits underlying the application model;
  • examination of considerations relating to migration from a previous or independently operated environment;
  • Map previous environmental variables or integration settings at a cloud migration;
  • understand PostgreSQL, storage objects, secrets, input assumptions and monitoring;
  • perform architecture and threat-model reviews.

Each page of the Legacy Architecture & Migration reference path is marked as architectural/reference material so that it cannot be confused with a ZebraByte-accepted implementation method.
