WARNING: Emergency update for Chromium-based browser apps

Update your Google Chrome browser and all Chromium-based browsers immediately

ZebraByteinforms users about the emergence of critical vulnerabilities in Google Chrome and all browsers built on the Chromium engine. The National Directorate for Cyber Security (DNSC) has issued an official warning and recommends the urgent updating of all browser applications to prevent their exploitation.

Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Epic, Comodo Dragon, SRWare Iron, SlimBrowser, Ungoogled Chromium, and other derivative browsers.

Details of vulnerabilities

Two type confusion vulnerabilities have been identified:

• CVE-2025-13223

• CVE-2025-13224

These vulnerabilities cause the browser to misinterpret the type of objects, which can allow an attacker to run malicious code, cause the application to be blocked, or even compromise the system.

Google has confirmed that CVE-2025-13223 is already actively exploited, which makes immediate update essential.

How to update Google Chrome

Windows and Mac

1. Open the Google Chrome

2. Press the menu in the upper right ()

3. Select the Help/Help

4. Select About Google Chrome / About Google Chrome

5. Chrome will automatically check and install updates

6. At the end, press Relaunch / Restart.
