MCP
Connect AI Agents via OAuth2 (CIMD)
MCP clients, such as Claude and ChatGPT, can now register with ZebraByteprint through a standard OAuth2 client metadata document instead of a pre-provided client ID.
Connecting a client to ZebraBytea was used to first provide a client ID.
With OAuth2 Client ID Document Metadata (CIMD) support, clients such as Claude and ChatGPT sign up by redirecting to a HTTPS client_id URL.ZebraBytecapt and cache the document metadata, extends the client at first use, and announces CIMD support in OIDC discovery once you have configured which client URLs are allowed.
Nothing changes until you add permitted CIMD client URLs to the OAuth2 configuration, and pre-provised MCP clients continue to work exactly as before.
