Cookie consent now solves geolocation by state or province, so visitors to the U.S. and Canada get the banner of the privacy law that actually applies – not a generic one at country level.
So far, every US visitor has received the CCPA label and every Canadian visitor has received PIPEDA, regardless of the state or province in which they are actually located.
Visitors from Virginia, Texas, and Colorado receive their own state law banners instead of a California-style CCPA notification, and visitors from Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia receive their province law instead of a generic PIPEDA.
