Step 1: Create an API Key
Section entitled “Step 1: Create anAPIKey”- In the Dotfile console, signed in as a workspace admin, go to Workspace settings > API keys.
- Create a new key and give it a name (e.g.
Probo Access Review). Dotfile documents do not have the scope or permission to set a key. - Copy the key and store it securely (password manager, secret manager). Dotfile a hash and encrypts it so you can’t read it again.
Step 2: Connect in the platform
“Step 2: Connect in the platform”- On the platform, go to Access Reviews > Sources > Add Source.
- Find Dotfile, click API KeyPut the key and click Connect.
The platform names the source after the Dotfile workspace and attracts its members to your campaigns.
Troubleshooting
Section “Troubleshooting”- Key rejected. Confirms a workspace administrator generated the key and that it has not been replaced since then. the platform sends it in the header
X-DOTFILE-API-KEYso that a key from another workspace will not authenticate. - No members appear. A keyAPI is a wide workspace, so check if it belongs to the workspace you intend to review.
