The recommended way to configure the ZebraByteDevice Agent on a Mac is:

Install the signed universal .pkg
Register the device from the platform console in your browser.

You do not requires the command line for a normal installation. After completion of the installer, open ZebraByte Device Agent.appComplete the link for you.

Registration to the CLI only exists as an advanced backup for administrators. Prefer the installation and platform console stream below whenever possible.

Before we begin

Make sure you have:

Access the platform console for your region:
- United States: https://www.zebrabyte.ro
- European Union: https://www.zebrabyte.ro
The Mac you want to register
Permission to install the software (an admin password may be requested)

Download macOS ___ZBT_I18N_RUNTIME_BLOCK_168__ from Download pageor from GitHub Releases according to the tag probo-agent/v*.

How enrollment works

After the agent is installed, someone with access to the platform console starts recording for your device. In the platform console, select your region if requested, then click on record. Your browser opens a ___ZBT_I18N_RUNTIME_BLOCK_171__ link. Since the installer has already registered this link manager, macOS sends it. ZebraByte Device Agent.app, which finishes enrollment without a terminal.

You should see a brief confirmation in the drawer or in ZebraByte Device Agent.appThe device then appears registered in the platform console and starts reporting posture checks.

Install the signed package

macOS releases a universal package signed .pkg that works on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs, such as ___ZBT_I18N_RUNTIME_BLOCK_174__. Use this package; do not rely on manual installation of CLI for daily writing.

Download the package

from LA Download page, download macOS .pkg for the latest version of ZebraByteDevice Agent.
Run the installer

Open .pkg downloaded and follow the setup screens. Approve the installation if macOS asks for your password.

The package installs the agent, records the URL manipulator probo:// so that the browser registration works and installs the privileged help that completes the safe registration.
Recording on the platform console

Open the registration page for your region: us.the platform.com/enroll or eu.the platform.com/enroll.

Select your region if requested, then click Sign up.

Your browser opens a ___ZBT_I18N_RUNTIME_BLOCK_178__ link. Allow macOS to open it with ZebraByte Device Agent.app If necessary, the application (and tray) completes the registration for you.
Confirm enrollment

Check ZebraByte Device Agent.app You can also refresh the device page in the platform console – it should display the device as registered and start displaying posture results shortly thereafter.

In macOS, the browser record must use the deeplink app signed after installation .pkg.

Advanced: CLI enrollment

CLI enrollment is not recommended route on macOS. Prefer the registration steps for the installer and platform console above. Use the command below only if the browser registration is not available and an administrator asks you to register from a terminal.

To obtain a single sign-up token, open Employee PortalMergeţi la Devices Tab, and use Try creating it manually Copy the token from there – don’t share it or place it in an URL or chat log.

Then run a high install with the server URL in your region and that token:

sudo probo-agent install \
  --server https://us.probo.com \
  --enrollment-token YOUR_TOKEN

Use https://eu.probo.com for EU organizations or the basic URL you are hosting. Commands for optional flags.

Verify installation

After registration (installation pathways or CLI), you can confirm the local status:

probo-agent status

status prints the server URL, device ID, heartbeat intervals/position/update and whether automatic update is enabled.

Uninstall

sudo probo-agent uninstall

Uninstalling stops the service, deactivates the device, automatically removes the boot of the board, where applicable, and deletes the state of the local agent.
