The recommended way to install ZebraByteDevice Agent on a Windows computer is:

1. Install the signature .msi
2. Register the device from the platform console in your browser.

You do not Once the installer is done, the registration uses the help of the tray system, which completes the link for you.

Registration to the CLI only exists as an advanced backup for administrators. Prefer the installation and platform console stream below whenever possible.

Before we begin

Make sure you have:

• Access the platform console for your region:
  • United States: https://www.zebrabyte.ro
  • European Union: https://www.zebrabyte.ro
• The Windows computer you want to register
• Permission to install the software (User Account Control approval may be requested)

Download Windows .msi from Download pageor from GitHub Releases according to the tag probo-agent/v*.

How enrollment works

After the agent is installed, someone with access to the platform console starts signing up for your device. In the platform console, select your region if requested, then click sign up. Your browser opens the signing link. Windows tray help with any required height and finishes signing without a terminal.

You should see a short confirmation in the system drawer. The device then appears as registered in the platform console and starts reporting posture checks.

Install the signed MSI

Windows launches a signed installer .msi. First install with this package, then register on the platform console. This is the path supported by employees and most administrators.

1. Download the MSI

   from LA Download page, download Windows .msi for the latest versionZebraByteDevice Agent.

2. Run the installer

   Open .msi and complete the setup guide. approve User Account Control (UAC) if Windows requests permission.

   The installer places the agent onto the machine, starts the help from the pad and activates the browser recording support.

3. Recording on the platform console

   Open the registration page for your region: us.the platform.com/enroll or eu.the platform.com/enroll.

   Select your region if requested, then click Sign up.

   Your browser opens the registration link. Windows tray helper helps with any required height and finishes the registration.

4. Confirm enrollment

   You can also refresh the device page in the platform console – it should display the device as registered and start displaying posture results shortly thereafter.

Advanced: CLI enrollment

CLI enrollment is not You prefer the installation and platform console registration steps above. Use the command below only if the browser registration is not available and an administrator asks you to register from a terminal.

Then run a high install with the server URL in your region and that token:

Use https://eu.probo.com for EU organizations or the basic URL you are hosting. Commands for optional flags.

Verify installation

After registration (installation pathways or CLI), you can confirm the local status:

probo-agent status

status prints the server URL, device ID, heartbeat intervals/position/update and whether automatic update is enabled.

Uninstall

# Elevated, or uninstall via Apps & features / the MSI
probo-agent uninstall

Uninstalling stops the service, deactivates the device, automatically removes the boot of the board, where applicable, and deletes the state of the local agent.
